Be an Elite Coach:

Let me tell you about Michael, a Sports Coach I worked with at the start of this summer.

🚀 Michael has embarked on an exciting journey, combining his knowledge of fundamental movement principles and physical development with his technical coaching skills—and he's already making a significant impact on his athletes!

But that's not even the best part! 😃

Michael now has the opportunity to grow as a coach, think in new ways, and tackle challenges with his players from multiple angles.

This allows him to provide greater service, deliver a bigger impact, and offer more options for athletes to work with him.

As a result:
➡️ More contact time with his athletes - more contact time = build greater relationships, can further their development and provide a greater service for them.
➡️ More sessions delivered - this means you can earn more money through people paying for more sessions, grow your business and do more of what you love doing!
➡️ A unique edge compared to other coaches - not many coaches can offer technical and physical development and have the knowledge to apply both to give great impact.

Michael, has spent time learning new information, observing other coaches and building his network, started to implement his new learnings slowly and adapting on the go to what works and doesn’t in his environment and is now growing and adding more S&C in to his coaching.

With this approach, he can elevate his coaching career, either by progressing further or by building a successful coaching business that stands out from the rest! 💼

Training Recommendations

Training programs for female athletes should follow the same fundamental principles as those for male athletes, with adjustments in exercise selection, volume, and intensity. Movement competency should be prioritized before adding complex exercises or higher loads.

Given the higher risk of ACL injuries, a portion of the training program should focus on mitigating this risk through trunk and glute strength exercises, plyometrics, and balance and stability exercises.

Busting Female Training Myths

  1. Female programs need to be completely different from male programs.
While some differences exist, the majority of female training programs are similar to male programs aimed at achieving the same goals. Individualisation is key, considering factors such as movement competency, age, maturation, position, training goals, and other commitments.

  2. Lifting weights will make you bulky.
Strength training does not necessarily lead to bulkiness. It offers numerous benefits, including improved movement competency, neuromuscular function, bone, joint, and tendon strength, posture, balance, and stability. Significant muscle gain requires consistent, targeted training over time.
